Here's a tip that isn't in the CCO docs.   There is a hidden command (not
sure if its on all IOS versions) called csim.    It is a call simulator you
can use to test your dial plans.
Syntax:   csim start xxx   
xxx is the phone number to dial.  It will ring the phone if it can but when

you pick it up there will be nobody there.  

You can csim from R2 to test your pots dial-peers and then csim the same #

from R1 to test the VoIP peers.
